Over the last few years, we’ve written a quite a few articles about responsive images. Now that responsive images have landed in browsers, it seemed like a good time to step back and cover the basics for those who are just starting to tackle responsive images.

So we shut down our second web app, Charm.* Charm, as it is, is using Backbone.js, Underscore.js and Zepto on the front-end, and Rails 2.3, Postgres, memcached, redis, resque, and for websockets Sinatra, and a few other things. The front-end is communicating with the back-end via a JSON API.

WordPress.com has unveiled a new user interface called the Action Bar. It’s a bar that shows up in the bottom right corner of the screen for logged in users and is accessible from any device. The bar performs multiple tasks depending on the page you’re on.
BuddyPress 2.3.3 is available and users are encouraged to update as soon as possible. A few security vulnerabilities were discovered in BuddyPress Messages, a core component that allows users to send and receive private messages. A vulnerability was responsibly disclosed to the BuddyPress team that could allow members to manipulate a failed private outbound message and inject unexpected output to the browser.
