Donald Trump’s slander of Captain Humayun Khan’s family is horrifying, even for Trump

The most emotional moment of the Democratic National Convention was the speech by Khizr Khan, the bereaved father of Army Captain Humayun Khan. With his wife Ghazala by his side, Khan recalled his son’s character, his faith, his patriotism – and, ultimately, his courageous death in the service of the country he loved, and the fellow soldiers he was protecting.

The ‘smoking gun’ proving North Carolina Republicans tried to disenfranchise black voters

Today, a federal court struck down North Carolina’s voter ID law, one of the strictest in the nation. In addition to requiring residents to show identification before they can cast a ballot, the law also eliminated same-day voter registration, eliminated seven days of early voting and put an end to out-of-precinct voting.

How Self-Published Ebooks + WordPress Are A Rapid Gateway To Untold Opportunities | Pagely® WordPress Hosting

If you think you have a book in you, you need not try to land Ari Gold as your literary agent and have him go to bat lining up interviews with publishers that might amount in a traditional book deal, nor do we recommend you slog away for years on end to polish off that perfectly packaged manuscript of prose.

IncludeWP: A Directory That Caters to WordPress Frameworks

Earlier this year, the WordPress plugin directory review team reminded developers that frameworks are not allowed in the directory. WordPress core doesn’t have a built-in way to support plugin dependencies which creates extra hassle for users. Seeing an opportunity, Vova Feldman, founder of Freemius, created IncludeWP, a directory specifically catered to listing WordPress theme and plugin frameworks.

Version 0.24.0 released

As I mentioned in my WordCamp Europe talk: Just like WordPress has plugins, the future of WP-CLI is packages of commands. For this future, I’m trying to proactively solve the problems WordPress has with plugins: Where WordPress plugins are considered second-class to what’s included in core, I’d like WP-CLI packages to be considered first-class citizens amongst the commands in WP-CLI.
