My advice for young people who want to become creators of video games (or any other craft, really), based on my 20+ years in the wilderness of the industry. It is advice in a blog post and therefore to be considered dubious until proven otherwise.
Today version 0.9.5.1 Thanks to everyone that provided bug reports and helped to troubleshoot issues in the forums for other users. As the changelog will show, many of the most glaring issues have been resolved, which hopefully will reveal the next set of high priority concerns users are facing.

Twitter rolled out its Moments feature to the common folk yesterday. Moments, a collection of tweets that tell a story, were originally made available to a select group of high profile accounts. In August, Twitter expanded access to Moments and announced that Moments would soon be open to all users.

When Olivia Nuzzi walked into Donald Trump’s office on the 26th floor of Trump Tower, she wasn’t sure what to expect. She’d seen the Republican nominee up close before – in media gaggles covering campaign events for the Daily Beast – but they’d never been introduced.

The name of one of the world’s fastest growing messaging apps appeared pretty self-explanatory. “Slack” seemed like a simple nod to what you shouldn’t be doing at work. Turns out it was actually an acronym. It stands for Searchable Log of All Communication and Knowledge.

When WooThemes joined Automattic in 2015 the creator of WP Job Manager, Mike Jolley, stopped actively working on the project and the mission of WP Job Manager was handed over to a new team. We’ve had plenty of discussions recently at Automattic about the future of WP Job Manager and what the next steps should be.
Nearly a year ago, we published information about a new project by Arūnas Liuiza, a WordPress plugin developer, called Measure Jetpack that would benchmark Jetpack’s performance on websites. Outside of a post published in January, there’s been little information on its progress.
Page builders are everywhere and new ones are popping up every month. I have always had a strong dislike for page builder plugins as they frequently cause compatibility problems with other plugins. To ensure I wasn’t unjustly biased, I decided to review as many page builders as I could manage to determine if they are really all that bad.
Automattic announced today the company is bringing WP Job Manager back to life. The plugin became an Auttomattic project after the company acquired WooCommerce and its employees in 2015 but it has not been actively developed since then.
Last month, Google announced the changes that are coming to mobile search results in 2017. One of the things mentioned was sites that use “intrusive” interstitials on mobile devices will lose their “mobile friendly” tag. Since mobile friendly tags are one of the many ranking factors that Google uses, this announcement caused panic in marketing circles.

Last week, when I wrote about how to become a writer, I forgot to mention something about why you’d want to be a writer. Writers are communicators. If you’re proud of your ideas, you want to be able to communicate them clearly and precisely.
Mr. Trump, for his part, sought to blame everything but himself. During an appearance on Fox News on Tuesday, he charged that the moderator, Lester Holt of NBC News, had become overly aggressive with him – although he inaccurately said that Mr. Holt had questioned him over a 1973 federal discrimination lawsuit against Mr. Trump’s company.

DENVER (AP) – Police officers across the country misuse confidential law enforcement databases to get information on romantic partners, business associates, neighbors, journalists and others for reasons that have nothing to do with daily police work, an Associated Press investigation has found. Criminal-history and driver databases give officers critical information about people they encounter on the job.
The Arizona Republic editorial board endorses Hillary Clinton for president. Since The Arizona Republic began publication in 1890, we have never endorsed a Democrat over a Republican for president. Never. This reflects a deep philosophical appreciation for conservative ideals and Republican principles. This year is different.

Here’s an album I compiled, with music that ended up in AM2R, and some tracks that didn’t make it into the game. I remastered every track, and some songs sound a lot better with minor changes. These tracks were going to be a part of the 1.2 update, but now you can enjoy them.

The following tweet went viral tonight; it’s a lie. During the debate, Donald Trump denied claiming that global warming is a Chinese hoax-“I do not say that,” Trump insisted. The internet quickly found precisely that claim. But despite several prominent people running with it, Trump’s camp did not delete his 2012 tweet claiming that China invented global warming to put the U.S.
From misrepresentations to half-truths and flat out lies, Trump has talked around and away from the truth more brazenly than any major party presidential nominee in modern political history. Clinton has made misleading and even false statements about her use of a private email server during her time as secretary of state.
