Gif the Halls: Holiday Cards Gone Wild

David Peralty on When WP Engine came to us to help engineer Gif the Halls – part digital holiday greeting, part holiday art exhibition – we were more than a little intrigued. The WP Engine Labs team commissioned six digital artists to create holiday themed animations, to be projected onto buildings in San Francisco – and they needed a way to collect holiday messages from the masses.

Meet ElasticPress

Taylor Lovett on We are proud to announce the release of a new plugin, ElasticPress, to the WordPress community. The project started as an internal initiative to meet a particularly common yet difficult client request: improved WordPress search. ElasticPress integrates WordPress search with Elasticsearch which has become increasingly prominent powering search on major enterprise websites such as Github and WordPress.com.

MaineToday Media

Maine’s largest media company, MaineToday Media, came to 10up with a bold vision and a tight timeline. The plan? To launch a redesigned flagship news site and create a new regional site. The new responsive platform would be built on WordPress and would combine content from the print publications with additional digital assets (galleries, videos) and high-impact interactive pieces developed specifically for the web.

10up and FiveThirtyEight

We’re thrilled to unveil our second collaboration with ESPN, the new FiveThirtyEight! The site relaunched today with a fresh new Responsive design and content strategy on WordPress.com VIP. Over the course of roughly three months, 10up worked closely with ESPN to implement their new design vision, ensuring a fluid reader experience across devices using creative provided by their team.
